The Vyatka Matryoshka is the northernmost style of Russian nesting dolls, known for its delicate charm and distinctive craftsmanship. Featuring a blue-eyed girl with a gentle, bashful smile, these dolls captivate with their soft, graceful expressions.

In the 1960s, Vyatka artisans introduced a unique decorative technique—inlaying the dolls with straw, which was then sealed with oil lacquer, adding depth and texture to the traditional painted designs. Today, this elegant style remains a treasured part of Russia’s Matryoshka heritage.
