This cheerful five-piece matryoshka set was made in Sergiev Posad — the historic birthplace of the Russian matryoshka and still considered the heartland of the craft. Each doll depicts a figure in traditional folk dress with bold primary colours, floral border details and the simple, warm character that defines the classic Sergiev Posad style. The largest doll carries a basket of apples, with each subsequent figure dressed in their own distinct colours.
