A pretty five-piece nesting doll set, each doll depicting a young blonde woman in a pale blue sarafan trimmed with white floral detailing and navy blue accents, her hair adorned with a wreath of white and yellow blossoms. Each figure holds a bright orange and red decorated shawl or kerchief, adding a warm splash of colour against the cool blue ground.
A fresh and consistently painted set, the floral headdress and dancing shawl motif repeated across all five pieces gives the set a pleasing uniformity and light folk elegance.
This is a five nested piece set.
Handmade in Russia.
