This gorgeous five-piece matryoshka set by Russian artist Belyakova depicts a series of figures each holding the fruits of summer — golden apples, a slice of watermelon, a pear, and smaller figures with their own seasonal fruit detail. The rich burgundy and soft blue palette with delicate white scrollwork gives the set an elegant, painterly quality that showcases Belyakova's skill at its finest.
A beautifully composed collector's piece that celebrates the warmth and abundance of the Russian summer harvest with characteristic expressiveness and fine detail.
This matryoshka is a five nested set and is signed by the artist.
