Good Soldier Švejk – classic Czech marionette
This handcrafted puppet is inspired by the iconic character of the Good Soldier Švejk and made using traditional Czech marionette techniques. Controlled with the classic Munzberg roller system and a combination of thread and wire, it’s designed for both play and display.
The head, arms, and legs are moulded from sculptor’s plaster, while the body is carved from wood. Hand-painted with safe, waterproof paints (suitable for children’s toys), the puppet’s clothing and design are styled to resemble historical marionettes.
